The Mesilla Valley Track ClubThe Rio Grande Marathon is organized and presented by the Mesilla Valley Track Club (MVTC). MVTC is a member of the New Mexico USATF Association. USATF is the governing body of long distance running, cross country, race walking, and track & field. MVTC has representation on the board of directors of NM USATF, representation at the annual NM USATF meetings in the Long Distance Running division and Road Running Technical Council, and has a keen interest in long distance running. The MVTC believes in certified courses, sanctioned events, and strict adherence to the rules of long distance running. That's a lot of interest in the welfare of our participants!
